Bio

I have a Masters degree in Counseling, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working in Lafayette in the Boulder / Denver metro area. My experience ranges from working with acutely disturbed patients at a psychiatric hospital to helping families deal with life’s daily challenges.

I specialize in helping teens and young adults with problems such as social anxiety and shyness, depression, obsessive compulsive symptoms, grief and loss, and school related issues. I am skilled in helping families breakthrough power struggles, continuous conflict and anger outbursts.

I have 4 years of experience working as a family therapist at a child abuse prevention program. I have helped many parents develop their parenting skills and find peace and cooperation at home.

I also work with adults suffering from depression, anxiety and relationship problems. I am skilled in helping couples re-establish trust, resolve conflict and re-discover excitement in their relationship.

I am also experienced with cultural difficulties. I am aware of the challenges families and individuals face when moving to another country. Although I am a long time resident of the U.S., I was born in Brazil and I speak fluent English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and Italian.
